Space provided by TPS helps Friends of TDL continue book sales

To the Editor,The Friends of the Tecumseh District Library recently needed to look for a new home when the library closed its basement area in order to upgrade it. This major remodeling forced the Friends and their monthly book sales to look for a temporary home. Our search could have ended in a sad state of simply storing the donated books for months until we could move back. Our monthly book sales are the source of income that enables Friends to support the library with such extras as special programs for adults and kids, and such things as shelving or new furniture.Superintendent of Tecumseh Public Schools, Dr. Kelly Coffin, was very understanding of our need for a temporary home and has given us space in the school administrative building annex (across the street from the library) to set up our monthly book sales. Executive Assistant to the Superintendent Teri Hoeft and the building staff have been most helpful in our move. All of the Friends say thank you! Tecumseh is most fortunate to have public leaders who appreciate the many facets of a community. Mary Ann Bone, co-presidentFriends of the Tecumseh District Library
