Steven Anthony Fraas

Steven Anthony Fraas, 31, passed away peacefully, August 8, 2014, surrounded by family and close friends after a courageous eight-month battle with a rare form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was a warrior through it all... Steve was born February 25, 1983 in Santa Barbara, Calif. He joined the United States Air Force shortly after graduation, where he went on to serve for 12 years of dedicated service. He was a Technical Sergeant, most recently based at March AFB as a C-17 crew chief. His career as a flying crew chief took him to dozens of countries all over the world, where he experienced fun filled adventures where ever he went. He met the love of his life, Julia (Nelson), when based in Turkey and together they lived a life full of traveling and awesome adventures. He cherished his wife and two daughters. Steve lived more in his short 31 years than anyone we know and for that we are grateful. He is survived by his wife Julia Nelson (from Tecumseh, Mich.), daughters; Emily 3 ½ and Lilly 1 ½, his parents, Kyle and Mia, brother, Jacob, sister, Gillian, grandmother, Karen Rudolics, Grandfather, Ron Fraas, and great-grandmother, Lillian Brodarick.
