Steven George Tilton
Steven George Tilton, age 67, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., died on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020, at his home. He was born November 4, 1952 in Fort Polk, La., grew up in Tecumseh, Mich., and worked and lived in McMinnville for 20 years before moving to Murfreesboro.
Steven was a Christian, enjoyed riding his Harley, and loved watching his sons and grandkids play sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lois Tilton, brothers Tom and Dan, and daughter, Amber Nicole.
Steve is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gena Gillette Tilton, of Murfreesboro; sons Steven (Adrienne) Tilton of Takoma Park, Md., Kaleb (Sarada) Tilton, of Memphis, Tenn., and Nicholas Tilton of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Noah, Sophie, Alex, Dorothy, Mason and Tucker Tilton; brother, Mike Tilton; special nephew who was like a son, Terry (Jonie) Tilton; and special sister-in-law, Paula Patteuw. Many nieces, nephews, and family friends also survive.
Mr. Tilton will be cremated and the family will have a graveside service at Mt. View Cemetery to be announced at a later date.
