Supports county proposal for public park on Red Mill Pond

To the Editor,I hope that the DNR officials of Michigan or Lenawee County can purchase the property on Red Mill Pond to develop a small public park.It is a beautiful pond that helps to make Tecumseh a beautiful place to drive into and to live and it would really help those that have worked so hard to keep the pond a beautiful place. I think Mr. Ray Herrick once owned the ground. It would be nice to name it the Ray Herrick Park. He has done so many things for the people of Tecumseh, as many others have also. I know there are many people that help the city, but I believe if he was alive and he owned the property, he may give them the property. It’s just a thought, but no matter what they name it, I hope they get to do what they want. It’s a beauty. Let’s hope we can all still enjoy the beauty all the time. The fall is just out of this world, but it is kept very nice and the people are very proud to keep it nice. Thank you.Ollie Koons Tecumseh
