Suspect sought in restaurant break-in

Deputies responded to a burglar alarm at the Bullpen Bar & Grill in Britton at 1:48 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 6. The rear door had been pried open with a crowbar, and deputies found the cash register open with money missing. A spokesperson for Bullpen declined to comment on the exact amount of money taken from the register.The surveillance video showed an unknown person entering the back door of the bar and going directly to the cash register and taking the cash out. Then the suspect fled the bar. The person was in the bar for only 42 seconds.The suspect’s gender was unknown, but the person was described as white with a slim to medium build and dark-colored collar-length hair. The suspect was possibly wearing black-framed glasses, as well as long pants, a 5/8-long pullover shirt with possible writing on chest area, light-colored shoes, and a ball cap with a bandana covering the face area. The person carried an L-shaped pry bar.Crime Stoppers of Lenawee is asking for the public’s help with information about this case.
