TCA thanks participants in promotional road trip to Monroe Welcome Ctr.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!The Tecumseh Center for the Arts would like to say a big thank you to all of our friends who participated in the recent 2015-16 season promotional “road trip” to Monroe and performed at the I-75 Welcome Center. Local partners of the TCA, including Tecumseh Youth Theatre (TYT) and the TCA Big Band & VocalAires, along with The Dixie Cups - Dixieland Band, the Big Band Sax Quartet, and Dale Chadderdon entertained both “locals” and weary travelers alike. Thanks to these groups, we were able to promote the upcoming 2015-16 Tecumseh Center for the Arts’ season, including professional touring shows, TCA sponsored shows, such as Open Mic Night, Tecumseh’s Got Talent, and The Nutcracker, as well as Tecumseh Youth Theatre, Tecumseh Pops Orchestra & Community Chorus, Kiwanis Club of Tecumseh’s Travel & Adventure Series, and the TCA Big Band & VocalAires’ concerts. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all who participated, attended and otherwise helped out during the day. Special thanks go to Tecumseh Trolley & Limo-usine Service, and owner and driver for the day, Steve Pixley, for providing transportation to and from the Center for members of the Tecumseh Youth Theatre, their parents, and the TCA Big Band & VocalAires. Thanks to Sax Quartet members Dale Chadderdon, Marybeth Madziar, Jim Rice; The Dixie Cups, including Martin Scott, Eric Korte, Larry Harper, Dave MacDonnough, Sharon Scott, and Spencer Bennett; Tecumseh Youth Theatre and drama camp members; and Dr. Marty Marks and all of the members of the TCA Big Band & VocalAires. Thanks also go to the ladies at the Monroe Welcome Center for suggesting this outing! Shout out to Jo Ann, Cathy, Collette, and the rest of the team at the Center for making it so much fun and insuring that the day ran smoothly. Thanks to the parents of the participating Tecumseh Youth Theatre and drama camp kids, and TYT board members Joyce Lammers, Jen Williams, Renee Payne, and Joel Cardella for rehearsing with the kids, chaperoning the day, and getting the kids there and back. Thanks to TYT board members and TCA VocalAire Joyce Lancaster for helping to provide snacks for everyone. And finally, huge thanks go to our “roadies,” Sue Bunch, Brandon Quigley, Ross Travis, and Kathy Field. Without them (and their help with equipment transportation, set-up, and tear-down), the day wouldn’t have happened. Everyone did a great job!Karen BunchBig Band Sax Quartet and TCA Big Band & VocalAires,TCA Technical Director
