Teacher supports Democrat candidates Spade, Schauer
To the Editor,Snyder’s advertisements say that he increased funding to schools but what word did he intentionally leave out? Public. Public funding was not increased. I know because I’m a public school teacher. Instead, Snyder increased funding to private, charter and on-line schools in an effort to destroy the education system which this country is built on since our Founding Fathers.Public education means equal opportunity. Has Snyder provided equal opportunity by cutting public school funding, passing new taxes on retirement income and raising taxes on hard-working American families?Four more years? Michigan won’t survive that. Mark Schauer and Doug Spade get my vote. I hope that everyone who cares about educating our children does the same.Todd HoldenTecumseh
