Tecumseh girls bowl over Bulldogs
Tecumseh’s varsity girls bowling team remains undefeated after defeating visiting Chelsea on Monday, Jan. 13 at Ten Pin Alley.Haley Richard led the Indians to a 29-1 victory over the Bulldogs with a high game of 246.Tecumseh had Baker games of 213 and 192 to Chelsea's 162-138 and team game scores of 974-641 and 791-684.Jordan Richard tallied a high game of 218 for the Indians while Lauren McKowen bowled a 211.Rounding out the totals for the Indians were Savanna Murry (177), Courtney Herron (144) and Taylor Cook (130).Tecumseh’s varsity boys team lost 27-3 to Chelsea. Levi Masse had games of 233 and 212 for Tecumseh while Cody Wilkins had games of 210 and 229.The Indians junior varsity girls team didn’t give up a single point, beating the Bulldogs 30-0.Tecumseh’s Kayla Wild led the Indians with a game of 199. Also representing the Indians were Brianna Wiemer (168), Whitney Hite (159), Kailah Hardy (150) and Kelsey Stites (88).Tecumseh traveled to Battle Creek on Sunday, Jan. 12, and won the Battle of the Baker Tournament.The Indians’ girls bowled twelve baker games and qualified first ahead of Bangor John Glenn.The tournament went to bracket play leaving Tecumseh girls to bowl Coldwater with the best two out of three games advancing.Tecumseh won the first two games moving on to bowl Gull Lake for the championship. Tecumseh won the last two games to bring home their second tournament win this season.
