Tecumseh golfers eighth at Lenawee Country Club

ADRIAN — Eighteen teams competed at the Lenawee Country Club on Monday, April 18, including Tecumseh’s Indians who finished eighth in Adrian’s Maple Invitational.
 
Tecumseh recorded a combined team score of 378 with Drew Whelan carding the low round of the day with 87. 
 
On Tuesday, April 19, the Indians attended the Lincoln Splitter Invitational and finished fourth out of 12 competing schools. 
 
The two-man team of co-captains Drew Kapnick and Carter Clarke shot 78, putting them into a three-way playoff for eighth place individually. The two went on to win with Clarke sticking an approach shot from 70 yards out for a tap in birdie. 
 
Also taking part in the playoff for Tecumseh was the two-man team of Drew Whelan and Brady Wild who carded a team score of 78. 
 
Freshmen Aaron Ebersole and Julian Luiska made their varsity debut and carded a combined score of 88. 
 
On Monday at the Hantz Golf Club, the Indians hosted a Southeastern Conference quad with Adrian, Bedford and Monroe and placed first with a score of 172. Final results were not submitted before the Herald’s Tuesday deadline.
