Tecumseh's varsity softball team wins Division 2 State championship

Tecumseh's varsity softball team picked up a Division 2 state championship in Battle Creek on Saturday, June 15, with a 5-1 victory against Saginaw Swan Valley.Tecumseh pitcher Emily Maves turned in a dominating performance, recording nine strikeouts in the title game.It is the Indians' (33-5-3) third state softball title, also bringing home trophies in 2007 and 2008.See complete results in the Herald's Thursday print edition.
