Thank you to community

To the Editor,On Monday, Sept. 30, the Tecumseh Area Chamber of Commerce got a great basketball team together and played a terrific game of basketball against the Harlem Ambassadors. We could not have done something like this without the support of our sponsors, the volunteers who helped out and the community who came out to watch the game. Earlier in the day, the Harlem Ambassadors put on an assembly at the Middle School with some powerful messages for the students. We’d like to thank First Federal Bank for sponsoring the assembly. We’d also like to thank our quarter sponsors — Tecumseh Big Boy and WLEN Radio; the meal sponsor — Tecumseh Big Boy; the facility sponsor — Tecumseh Middle School; the player sponsors — Brindamour Photography, TMS Builders Club, United Bank & Trust, Tecumseh Big Boy, Kiwanis Club of Tecumseh, Schmidt & Sons Pharmacy, David Stimpson-Attorney, First Federal Bank, Paws 4 Grooming, Carter Rehabilitation Centers and Adrian College. Our event sponsors were — Grey Fox Floral, Handler Funeral Homes, Tom and Jeanette Meyer, Tecumseh Insurance Agency, Underwood Chevrolet, United Bank & Trust and Basil Boys. Thank you also goes to those that helped us with the advertising — City of Tecumseh Economic Development Office, the Tecumseh Herald and WLEN Radio. Our shirts were donated by VIP Promotions, towels used by the teams were provided by the Country Inn and Suites and water for the concession stand was donated by Bailey’s WaterCare and Seiler’s Water Systems. We also want to thank those that agreed to play against the Harlem Ambassadors and made the game fun and exciting. Our players were: Steve Brindamour, Rick Hilderly, Michelle Brasseur, Jim Rebbeck, Kelly Coffin, Wally Pike, Joe Bundas, Ashley Gonzales, Amy Debruyn, Joe Williams, Aziza Awad, Jordan Timmerman and Gerod Abram. Support staff included our coach — Ed Oxley; referee — Jeff Lee; scoreboard — Tim Tilton; and trainer — Josh Veldaz; and our national anthem was sung by Nate Smith.
