Thanks donors and shoppers for support during road project

To the Editor,We want to thank the community for their incredible and enduring support of Goodwill during the Division Street construction. In particular we want to thank our donors and shoppers who persevered through the inconvenience to continue to support our Mission. Thanks to the City of Adrian employees’ Todd Brown (Parks and Engineering Services Director) and Liz Asteriou (Communications and Marketing Coordinator) who did an amazing job communicating and blending the access needs of our participants, donors, shoppers, and employees with the needs of the project; a complex and difficult task which they accomplished with both professionalism and empathy. A thanks to our neighboring businesses of Lowe’s and JR’s for marketing support, as well as WLEN, Q95, and The Daily Telegram that let everyone know we were still open for business. Finally thanks to the hard-working employees of Slusarski Excavating & Paving and their Subcontractors: Irish Hills Trucking, Eastlund Concrete Construction, Doan Concrete, and Gerken Materials for being flexible and accommodating our needs despite vital deadlines and uncooperative weather conditions. A special thanks to our employees and Lenawee Transportation Corporation who had to find new ways to Goodwill, be patient, and traverse the various road conditions to come here each day. We feel very blessed and humbled by the amazing support we have received. Thank you!Sonja L. SpragueAdministrative SpecialistGoodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan
