Thanks Kiwanis Club, students from LISD for work at Bird Park
To the Editor,On Wednesday and Thursday, May 14 and 15, members of the Tecumseh Kiwanis Club teamed up with students from Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD) and spruced up Douglas W. Bird Kiwanis Memorial Park. A fresh dressing of mulch was laid on the walking trail at the east end of the park and landscape beds were weeded and also dressed with mulch.On behalf of everyone at the Parks and Recreation department, thank you to the LISD juniors and seniors, and all of the Kiwanis Club members that assisted. Douglas W. Bird Kiwanis Memorial Park is enjoyed by countless city residents throughout the year and the work you performed is greatly appreciated. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Tecumseh Kiwanis Club member, Doug Bird and LISD Tech Center Counselor, Mary Tommelein.This dynamic duo worked together to organize the community service two day event.Shelley LimCLS DirectorCity of Tecumseh
