Thanks participants, supporters of annual downtown pet parade

To the Editor,“Wild West Roundup” was the theme for the 10th Annual Pet Parade in Downtown Tecumseh on Saturday, July 20th. Over 50 pets… dogs, cats, guinea pigs, a lizard and a turtle came dressed in their favorite Wild West Theme attire… what a fun time! It’s always amazing how original and creative pet owners can be in designing just the right outfits for their furry and not-so-furry friends. We’d like to extend a special thanks to Fire Chief Joe Tuckey and Logan for acting as the Grand Marshals. Thanks to Kathy Williams from WLEN for serving as the MC for the Pet Parade and to our five judges — Gary Naugle, Jan Salsberry, Judy McCaran, Kim Koch and Sean Riddle. Special thanks to Red Mill Pet Supply, Bad Hair Day? and Companion Animal Clinic for donating prizes to be given to the seven winners. Thanks to the Tecumseh Lions Club for event sponsorship. We appreciate all the continued support of this special family friendly event. Thanks to Martin’s for supplying water bowls for the pets and the Cemetery and Police Departments for their assistance with the parade. Thanks to all who brought pet food to donate to local pets in need. Plus a very special thanks to all the pet owners who dress up their four and two legged friends to come down to share their pets during this great event. Thanks to everyone who helped and participated in this fun-filled family friendly event! Linda HewlettCity of Tecumseh Marketing Coordinator
