Thanks supporters of fundraiser for Clinton wresting program

To the Editor,On Saturday, Sept. 27, the Clinton Youth Wrestling Program, along with help from the parents of the varsity and middle school wrestling programs, held a Money Auction at the Golden Nugget in the Irish Hills. The hope was to raise money to buy new wrestling mats for the wrestling room and for the middle school. It has been about 12 years since the last purchase of a wrestling mat and that was donated to the school. We have been using mats as old as 30 years and it has gotten to the point where this is an important upgrade. Thanks to the success of the event Saturday night we should be in a position to purchase those much needed mats. The success of the event would not have happened without a large group of people working together to pull it off. Along with those people we would like to thank the following people and sponsors for helping to make it a huge success. Top o’ the Hill Restaurant and Party Store, Danley’s Country House, Coconut’s, TLC Credit Union, Tecumseh Harley Davidson, Will and Angie Felts, International Diamond and Jewelry, Skip’s Pub, Hackers Jewelers, Boulevard Market, and Fitness Connection. Thanks also to Jeff Rolland, Laura Settles, Mission Sports and Performance, Suburban Chevy-Clinton, Jason and Stephanie Haft, Glenna Ford, Deedee Baker, Clinton Athletic Department, Promedica, Lisa Mellinger, Kosmyna Chiropractic, Vertex Irrigation, TaShina Underwood, Tiffany Pointer, The Clinton Local, Signature Sewing, and Capelli Studio-Tecumseh. Once again, many people came together for the good of our local youth program and to support our student athletes at all levels. Because of this we will be able to continue to build on our recent success and look forward to many more years of growth and success.Thank You,Jason Perry, Stacy Orlowski, George Ames and Stephanie HoeftClinton Youth Wrestling Board
