Tigersharks’ USA team increases participation
Tecumseh Tigersharks’ USA Swimming team began with less than twenty swimmers last year but increased in size by more than thirty percent and participated in some competitive meets during its season.In January, Kiersten Russell, was selected to represent Team Michigan in the MidStates Quadrangular Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. Six team members competed at the District meet held in White Lake in February. Ten swimmers qualified for the Junior Olympics meet in Waterford, including Kylie Balent, Ashlyn Clewis, Amelia Danley, Alicia Dusseau, Madison Gee, Emma Hoffman, Kamilla Linn, Karlee Marsh, Brynn Nevins, and Gabriel Roberts. Eight swimmers, Amelia Danley, Alicia Dusseau, Madison Gee, Karlee Marsh, Brynn Nevins, Gabriel Roberts, Kiersten Russell, and Liam Russell, went on to compete in their respective age-group State Competitions.The team is coached by Sarah Eubanks, Deborah Followell, Jim Stretch, and Madi See.
