TPS seeks public input on facilities at upcoming forums

TECUMSEH — Tecumseh Public Schools (TPS) is hosting two community forums about facility utilization in the district as some buildings were under utilized while others were filled to capacity. The forums are Wednesdays, Sept. 30 and Oct. 7. Both will be at the board office, 212 N. Ottawa Street, in the board meeting room. Start time is 6 p.m. for both. The public is welcome to attend. At the beginning of the 2014-15 school year, TPS contracted with TMP Architectural Firm to complete a facilities assessment. When the assessment came back, it was discovered the district’s facilities were not being fully utilized. With that in mind, TPS is looking to review the future building configuration of the district; focusing on future programming needs of students.
