Virginia Todd Olds

Virginia Todd Olds, 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep February 23, 2015. Virginia was born in Tulsa, Okla., on October 16, 1926, to William Lewis Todd and Florence Catherine (Rothweiler) Todd. She graduated Will Rogers High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in social work from University of Colorado at Boulder.Virginia married Rollin Clarke Olds of Charles City, Iowa, in Tulsa in 1948. The couple spent their married life in Omaha, Neb. They were very happily married for 64 years. Virginia was a loving mom, good friend to many and active in her church. She enjoyed spending time with family, golf, travel and entertaining. Virginia was employed as a social worker in addition to being a great mom and spouse. She was a life-long Tri-Delta Sorority Member. Virginia moved to Tecumseh in 2013, after the death of her husband, to be closer to family. She lived at the Fieldstone Assisted Living. Virginia made many friends in her time here and was known for being vibrant and gracious. She enjoyed attending Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Tecumseh.Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her two children Janet Ellen Marshall (Richard), Stephen Todd Olds (Mary Lou); two siblings M. Kathryn O’Brien (F. Stephen), William Lewis Todd Jr. (Susan); four grandchildren Taylor Hart and Ian Andrew Marshall (Sean), Colin Todd Olds (Rebecca), Allison Louise Pearson (Lee); two great-grandchildren Landon Lyn Meadows and Bailey Nicholas Olds; and many nieces, nephews and their children.Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, at Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Lunch at the church will be available after the service.
