Walter Gregg Furgason
Walter Gregg Furgason, age 76, of Britton, passed away, September 27th, 2012, at home surrounded by his family and friends. He was born November 13, 1935, in Tecumseh, Mich., to Leonard and Leora (Gregg) Furgason. Walter served in the US Army. On June 28, 1958, he married Janet Sisson at the Ridgeway Methodist Church, and she survives. Walter was employed with Ford Motor Company retiring after 40 years of dedicated service. Walter was an avid Detroit Tiger Fan, but what he cherished most was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He always enjoyed helping others and was a handyman who could fix anything.
In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Tracy) Clemons of Tecumseh and Melinda (Jeffrey) Hyatt of Britton; one brother, James (Connie) Furgason of Clinton; two sisters, Jean Jones of Lake Placid, Fla., and Norma (Alton) Hayford of Ridgeway; grandchildren, Amber (Michael) Palazzo, Amanda (Joseph) Wilt, Austin Hyatt, Wyatt Clemons, Krista Clemons and Nichole Mahrle; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Madison, Jolee, Rylee, Mason and McKinlee. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Edward, Harry, Milford and Robert Furgason; and sisters, Marian Ely, Bertha Furgason, and Juanita Davenport.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Ridgeway Twp. Hall on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, beginning at 2 p.m.
