Wanda M. Crane

Wanda M. Crane, age 94, of Tecumseh, died June 17, 2013 at Cambrian Assisted Living, in Tecumseh, where she had been a resident for five years.She was born August 31, 1918 in Deerfield, the daughter of William and Alvina (Schurg) Weasel.In 1936 she graduated from Deerfield High School. On August 28, 1937 she married Fay Edwin Crane in Angola, Indiana.He died on September 25, 1998.Wanda was a resident of Tecumseh for most of her life. She worked at Ford Motor Company in Rawsonville, retiring after 25 years.She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh. Wanda's life focus was her children and grandchildren. Wanda, along with her husband, Fay, were fond of going on camping trips in the summer with their grandchildren. For many years, Fay and Wanda spent winters in Florida. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and reading. Her door was always open to anyone who wanted to stop by and chat and have a bite to eat.Wanda will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, generosity and commitment to her family.Wanda is survived by two children, Faye Lynn Reaume of Adrian and Sharon (Dennis) Kime of Tecumseh; four grandchildren, Brian and Steven Reaume. Kelli Ripple and Chad Kime; one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Reaume; one brother, Kenneth Weasel; one sister, Imo Oliver and many nieces and nephews.Besides her husband, Fay, Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.Wanda’s wishes upon her death will be carried out by her children with a Memorial Mass 11 a.m., Thursday, June 20, 2013 at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Clinton, with Rev. Fr. Daniel Wheeler officiating. Final resting place will be at Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh.The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Cambrian Assisted Living or Great Lakes Hospice.Special thanks to the staff at Cambrian for the loving and devoted care our Mother received during her stay there.
