CLIFT PONTIAC, 1115 S. Main St., Adrian, will hold a Relay For Life oil change day on Saturday, July 12 from 8 a.m. to noon.  A donation of $20.95 includes oil and filter and a car wash.  A donation of $5 includes a car wash only.

THE LENAWEE HUMANE Society will hold a pet wash on Saturday, July 12 from 9 to 1 p.m. at the shelter located at 705 W. Beecher St., Adrian.
All proceeds from the wash will be used to care and feed the animals at the shelter.  For more information call the Lenawee Humane Society at 263-3463.

Help The Nature Conservancy cut the invasive tree buckthorn from the prairie at Ives Road Fen Preserve, 5909 North Raisin Center Highway, just south of Tecumseh, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 12.   A nature walk will start the day and cold drinks and chocolate chip cookies will conclude it.  Please wear boots and bring water and a lunch.  Tools will be provided.  For more information call Chuck at 615-500-8229.

“KIDS AND TRAINS GO TOGETHER” — A presentation will be made by the Ann Arbor Model Railroad Club on how to develop a model train layout on Saturday, July 12 from 12:50 to 1:50 p.m. at SMRS, 320 S. Division St., Clinton.  Various displays on model trails will be available to see at the museum.
SMRS train rides will leave Clinton at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and from Tecumseh at noon.

BAD HAIR DAY? SALON/SPA will host a spa-a-thon on Sunday, July 27 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. for Karl Hamilton who has been fighting a malignant nerve sheath tumor.  Karl has been through chemotherapy and is currently at the Mayo Clinic recovering from major surgery to remove the tumor.
All monies raised on Sunday will benefit Karl.  The spa-a-thon will include haircuts, color, styling, manicures, pedicures, acrylic nails, nail art, massage and tanning.  No appointments will be taken.  It is first come, first serve.  A bake sale and 50/50 raffle will also be held.

IT’S VACATION BIBLE time at the Tecumseh Missionary Baptist Church, 407 S. Occidental Hwy.  Children age 3 through sixth grade are welcome to attend free from Aug. 3 thru ug. 7 from 5:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  In this one-week adventure, the children will hear Bible stories, participate in cool crafts, motivating music, eat snacks at the Snack Shack and play games.
