BAD HAIR DAY? SALON/SPA will host a spa-a-thon on Sunday, July 27 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. for Karl Hamilton who has been fighting a malignant nerve sheath tumor. Karl has been through chemotherapy and is currently at the Mayo Clinic recovering from major surgery to remove the tumor.
All monies raised on Sunday will benefit Karl. The spa-a-thon will include haircuts, color, styling, manicures, pedicures, acrylic nails, nail art, massage and tanning. No appointments will be taken. It is first come, first serve. A bake sale and 50/50 raffle will also be held.

THE VOCAL AND INSTRUMENTAL group jazzPRAISE will be at the First Presbyterian Church, 211 W. Chicago Blvd. (M-50), Tecumseh for an outdoors concert Sunday, July 27 at 7 p.m.
The guest artist will be Eric Korte on tenor sax. Korte toured with the Tommy Dorsey band in the eighties. jazzPRAISE constitutes of Dick Blank on alto sax, Hannah Lynn on vocals, Bill Walbridge on guitar and vocals, Rick Braman on bass and Bill Latocki on djembe drum.

IT’S VACATION BIBLE time at the Tecumseh Missionary Baptist Church, 407 S. Occidental Hwy. Children age 3 through sixth grade are welcome to attend free from Aug. 3 thru ug. 7 from 5:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. In this one-week adventure, the children will hear Bible stories, participate in cool crafts, motivating music, eat snacks at the Snack Shack and play games.
To kick-off the event, the church will have its annual Block Party on Saturday, Aug. 2 from noon to 3 p.m.

FISHER BODY’S 20TH annual picnic will be held Aug. 2 at 1 p.m. at Island Park in Adrian. Please bring a dish to pass and your own table service. Soft drinks and chicken will be furnished.
The picnic is for all former employees of the Tecumseh Fisher Body/Inland Plant.
TECUMSEH POKEMON Card Game League will meet weekly through August every Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Tecumseh Scout Cabin, Elliott Park. A $1 donation is requested to support the Scout Cabin. The card game is for the whole family. No cards are needed to come and learn the game.
The league is registered as an official league and receives free support courtesy of Pokemon USA. Players can earn collectible cards and other items.

THE LENAWEE HUMANE Society will hold a pet wash on Saturday, Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the shelter, 705 W. Beecher St., Adrian. The pet wash is $10, flea dip is $8 and nail trim is $7. A Praise Fest is scheduled to take place at Camp Sequoia on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Several local praise bands are scheduled to perform with a featured appearance by Christian singer/songwriter Joshua Keene.
