The South Central Michigan Veteran Job Fair will be held Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post 34, 101 W. Pottawatamie Street in Tecumseh. Veterans who are interested in starting or changing careers should plan on attending. Local employers will be available for interviews. The event will open to the general public beginning at noon.

The MOMS Club® of Tecumseh is sponsoring the second annual back-to-school clothing distribution. The community service project helps to provide displaced, low income and homeless children with clothing, school supplies and hygiene products for the upcoming school year.
On Sunday, August 24 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Tecumseh Community Center on Chicago Blvd. will be open to families with children in grades kindergarten thru 12th grade to pick out gently used and new clothing for the upcoming school year.
This is a first come, first serve event and is truly intended for families in need. The club is also still accepting new school supplies and hygiene products. If you would like to donate or have any questions, call Hope at 263-6819.

THE BLISSFIELD Chamber of Commerce will host the 20th annual Community Rummage in the Park on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Ellis Park in Blissfield. Anyone who has accumulated items in their basement, garage or storage can rent a space at the park. No food items or weapons are allowed to be sold at the event.
Sale hours are from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rain or shine. The spaces are 10 x 20 and the rental fee is $20 for one space and $10 for each additional space. If interested call Barb at (517) 486-5544. Bring your own tables. Renters are responsible for removing unsold merchandise and cleaning their area.

Tecumseh United Methodist Church (TUMC) offers two Sunday morning worship opportunities beginning September 7. A casual contemporary worship service out-of-doors, is held at 8:30 a.m. in the picnic pavilion (weather permitting) or in the fellowship hall. The traditional service begins at 10:30 a.m.
TUMC children’s sermon during the traditional service followed by a children’s time where fun activities and stories are offered in a church classroom. Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:15 a.m.

The MOMS Club of Tecumseh will be hosting a guest speaker at their upcoming members meeting on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the basement of the Tecumseh Public Library. Joe Baker, independent presenter for Love and Logic Parenting Programs will be giving an overview of the Love and Logic program for early childhood.
All meetings and activities are held during the day and moms are encouraged to bring their kids. Activities include weekly playgroups, field trips, park days, community service projects, a monthly mom’s night out, couples night out and so much more.
