The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center will hold its Facing Forward program on Saturday, Sept. 20. The program is designed to help those adult patients who have completed cancer treatment and wonder what’s next. The program will include information from U-M Cancer Center experts about topics such as: returning back to work and access to health insurance. The program will also offer tips on lifestyle choices including nutrition, exercise and weight management post cancer treatment. Facing Forward will additionally offer participants the opportunity to talk with other cancer survivors. | ||

Registration starts at 9:30 a.m., with a balloon release at 10:10 a.m. to begin the walk at Bixby. More than 16 food stations will be spread throughout the 5K course that begins behind Bixby Medical Center and Hickman Cancer Center at the registration/finale tent and winds through the surrounding neighborhoods.
