THE MACON UNITED Methodist Church will hold a bazaar, bake sale and craft sale on Nov. 8 from 9 to 4 p.m.  A soup and salad with bread, dessert and beverage will be offered from 11 to 2 p.m. for $5.  The church is barrier free and is located at 11964 Macon Hwy., Village of Macon.

THE PROMENADE TECUMSEH committee will meet on Monday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Tecumseh Historical Museum downtown.  The meeting will include planning both the Candlelight Home Tour on Dec. 5 and Dec. 6 and the spring Home Tour on May 16 and May 17, 2009.
Anyone interested in helping with either of these events is welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting, or if unable to attend, contact committee president Pat VanCamp at 424-7675.

Lenawee County Family Researchers will hold a special event on Tuesday, November 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lenawee VoTech Center, 1372 N. Main St. (M50), Adrian, MI.   Members will be showing family scrapbooks, genealogy notebooks, filing systems, and photo restoration. This event is open to the public.  Come and see how other people handle their family research, talk to other researchers, and pick up some tips.

IF YOU SHOP VIA THE internet, or would like to, but don’t know where start, then you may attend a free internet shopping class.  The class will be held Monday, Nov. 17 from 7-9 p.m. at the NewSong Connection Center, 133 W. Chicago Blvd., downtown Tecumseh.
The class will offer how to shop all your favorite stores from one location, how to save money using coupons, discounts, hot deals, free shipping and more.
Handout material will be provided.

The Fibromyalgia and Arthritis Support Group will host a special presentation called “A Simple Alternative to Pain.” The presenters will be Nancy Trudeau, OTR, and Kimberly Burns. The meeting will be held Monday, Nov. 24, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Carter Rehab Center, 902 Industrial Drive in Tecumseh, and is free of charge and open to the public.

24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Britton Bethel Baptist Church, 296 S.
Main St., Britton.  The seminar will provide comfort and given advice

The third annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be served on Thursday, Nov. 27, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Tecumseh Middle School.
Everyone is welcome to come and share a meal and fellowship with other members of the community. Guests should use the south entrance of the school, located at 307 North Maumee Street.
Volunteers are still needed to serve or deliver homebound meals, and those interested in helping should call Matt or Pam Oren at 423-4040. Donations of food and funds also are welcome and details may be obtained by making a call.
Calls also may be made to arrange for a meal to be delivered to a homebound person.

THE LADIES VFW Auxiliary Post 4187  will hold a Christmas potluck supper on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. at the post home.  Please bring a dish to pass, meat will be provided.  The monthly business meeting will follow at 7 p.m.
Members are asked to bring mittens, hats, scarves for the mitten tree.
