A lineup of great presenters, including Kip Cullers, the grower who put Southwest Missouri on the map with back-to-back world soybean yield championships and numerous National Corn Yield contest wins will make the day a “must see” event.

MS “Lunch Bunch” usually meets at 11:30 a.m., on the fourth Thursday of each month, at Bob Evans Restaurant, in Adrian, but due to Christmas, the group will meet Thursday, Dec. 17, at 11:30 a.m.

Tecumseh Youth Theatre is announcing auditions for the high school drama “Laugh In.” The show dates are Feb. 26, 27 and 28.
Auditions will be held Jan. 7 and Jan. 8, at Tecumseh Center for the Arts from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. High school students who live in the Tecumseh School District or attend Tecumseh High School may audition.

The annual Center for Excellence Crop Day will be held on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at the Christian Family Centre on U.S. 223 in Adrian. The day will include crop results from Center for Excellence host farmers Tim Stutzman and Blaine Baker. A lineup of great presenters, including Kip Cullers, the grower who put Southwest Missouri on the map with back-to-back world soybean yield championships and numerous National Corn Yield contest wins will make the day a “must see” event.
Registration starts at 8:15 a.m. with the program following at 9 a.m. Reservations are needed in advance for the lunch count, by calling 263-7400 Ext. 5. RUP and CCA credits will be available and the event qualifies as a MAEAP Phase 1 approved meeting.
Dr. Erich A. von Fange, Ph.D., will speak on “The Settling of Lenawee County,” at Lenawee County Family Researchers’ meeting Tuesday, Jan. 12, at LISD TECH Center, 1372 N. Main St. (M-52), Adrian. The evening will start with a White Elephant Sale at 6:30 p.m. following the presentation.
Dr. von Fange taught a total of 44 years in Christian schools and colleges in Nebraska, California, Alberta, and Michigan. He was Academic Dean at Concordia University, Ann Arbor. He is the author of the book, The Indians of Lenawee.
This meeting is the annual fundraiser. The evening is open to the public.

THE TECUMSEH HIGH School and Middle School will hold a cosmic bowling night fundraiser to help support Tecumseh High School bowling. The event will take place Dec. 30, from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Ten Pin Alley.
The following are December blood drives for the American Red Cross:
• Wednesday, Dec. 30, from noon to 5:45 p.m. at the YMCA of Lenawee County, 638 W. Maumee St., Adrian.
• Thursday, Dec. 31, from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Hudson Community Center, 323 W. Main St., Hudson.
