Railsplitters roast Indians

Turnovers were costly for Tecumseh’s varsity football team in its season opener against Ypsilanti Lincoln. Flipped, flopped, completely upset, any way you put it comes out the same. Lincoln flat out beat Tecumseh's varsity football team 38-22 in the season opening Southeastern Conference game and dissolved a 30 game losing streak. The last time the 'Splitters won a game was back in 2004 when they defeated Bedford 22-19.
It was apparent after the opening quarter that the Indians had their hands full. The 'Splitters finished the opening quarter down by only two points (14-12) and then outscored the Indians 12-8 in the second quarter to end the half with a 26-22 lead. That was it offensively for the Indians as the 'Splitters had Tecumseh's playbook figured out. Lincoln continued applying pressure defensively and forced several key mistakes. Tecumseh fumbled the ball three times in the contest, losing the ball twice, and also gave up an interception. The 'Splitters took advantage of the flustered Indians and scored 12 more points in the third quarter to finish all scoring.
Tecumseh senior Dane Grimm scored the first touchdown of the season for the Indians on a 21-yard run (pass failed) while A.J. Biscupski followed with another on a short two-yard drive in the opening quarter. Zach Galloway produced two points on a conversion run. In the second quarter Grimm scored another TD on a 33-yard run and added two points on a conversion run.
Tecumseh (0-1) plays in its first season home game on Friday evening against Ann Arbor Huron at 7 p.m.
