Betty Irene Carr, 82, of Adrian, died Sunday, August 3, 2008, at her home.  She was born May 23, 1926, in Riga, MI to John and Ethel (Staup) Myers.  She graduated from Sand Creek High School in 1945.  She loved to do ceramics and enjoyed reading.

She is survived by a son, Robert Carr and his wife, Karen, of Hudson; three daughters, Carol Collins and her husband, Terrence, of Adrian, Cheryl Wild-Rock, and her husband, David, of Tecumseh, and Vicky VanOpynen and her husband, Richard, of Adrian; a brother, Terry Myers and his wife, Judy, of Sand Creek, MI; a sister, Phylliss Hallet and her husband, Robert, of Sylvania, OH; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary Lee Carr; and a brother, Donald Myers.
