To the Editor,

Troop 632 Tecumseh, Troop 457 Saline and Troop 566 Carleton wish to thank all the businesses in Tecumseh who helped support the International Scout Dinner held on July 21. A lot of work, calling around and letter writing were done, but for the City of Tecumseh — you came through with flying colors.

I wish to thank the following businesses: Tecumseh Masonic Lodge, H&R Block, Handler Funeral Home, First Presbyterian Church, Busch’s, Tecumseh Plywood, Martin Home Center, Ididit, British Tea Garen and Rooftop Cafe , Pentemere Winery, Carter Rehab, Jerry’s Market, Pepsi, Clinton Tecumseh Ford, Meijers, Wal-Mart, Country Market, Basil Boys, and Harvey Schmidt, mayor, for the proclamation.

The food and monetary support was wonderful. Our visiting scouts from the Isle of Man enjoyed themselves and our three troops were able to have a friendly getting-to-know-you and welcome. This scout program is only held every four years and we hope to see it happen again hosting scouts from another country.

Also I would like to thank my great friends in scouting for their help: Pam Kirkendall, Laura Hopkins, Bonnie Greene, Karen Triguex, Debbie Gilbey, Cherie Karle, Kathy Mckelvie and Barb. You’re a blessing to know.

Thank you also goes out to the Tecumseh Friends Church for allowing us to host this dinner.
