HERBERT W. SACKETT

Herbert W. Sackett, 85, of Clinton, died Thursday, December 11, 2008, at Saline Hospital.  He was born March 21, 1923 in Clinton, the son of Milton B. and Ilah M. (Wisner) Sackett.  On January 2, 1943 Herbert married Dorothy Escott and she preceded him in death on February 19, 1995.

Hebert was a lifelong resident of Clinton.  He owned and operated Sackett & Son Welding near Clinton for many years.  He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge #145 in Onsted.  

Herbert is survived by one son, Herbert Sackett of Clinton, two daughters; Donna (Richard) Faust of Clinton and Debra (Dennis) Tilton of Clinton, one brother Milton (Dorothy) Sackett) of Saline, one sister; Juanita Parker of Tecumseh, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Herbert was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary and Geraldine and a brother, Harold.  
At Herb's request, cremation has taken place.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of Donor's Choice.  Condolences may be offered to the family at www.handlerfuneralhomes.com
