Barbara Evelyn Van Sickle,78, died December 23, 2008, at her home. She was born June 21. 1930 to Oscar and Daisy Walz. She married Earl (Tude) Van SickleOctober, 1949.
Barbara is survived by herchildren Beverly Girbach - Houston, Doug Van Sickle - Clinton, Rod Van Sickle - Cement City, KathyHandy - Oscoda, Jeff Van Sickle - Onsted, Shirley McClain - Clinton;Grandchildren, Tim & (Andrea).& Kristen Handy, Jonathan& Andrew Girbach, Mikki Van Sickle; Great Grandchildren
Dustin and Emily Handy;Brothers Norman and Olga Walz, Edwin and Judy Walz; Several cousins, nieces andnephews in Michigan and Indiana
She was preceded in death byher parents, husband, sister Mary Kensler and daughter Nancy Van Sickle.
Please join the family at 11a.m. January 3, 2009 at St. James Church 11005 W. Michigan Avenue, Saline,MI. Family visitation will be at10 a.m. to one hour prior to theservice at the church.
The family requests in lieuof flowers please give donations to Hospice Care, Cancer Society, or AmericanHeart Association. Cremation hastaken place with private burial at a later date.
Arrangements were entrustedto the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
