Lenawee County Family Researchers at Tecumseh District Library

Lenawee County Family Researchers will be guests of Tecumseh District Library on Tuesday, March 31.  Ceil Jensen will speak on “Post Mortem Records.”  Records from churches, undertakers, stonemasons, cemeteries, and societies that sponsor burial grounds for their members will be discussed.  Learn about home wakes, funeral cards and announcements, record books, cemeteries, tombstones and exhumation.
Cecile (Ceil) Wendt Jensen is a certified genealogist and owner of Michigan Polonia.  Her published articles have appeared in National Genealogical Societies Magazine, Ancestry Magazine, and Polish Genealogical Society of Michigan’s Polish Eaglet.
The evening will begin with a Genealogy Fair in Meeting Room A in the lower level of the building from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
