Eagle’s nest discovered
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Division has confirmed that a Bald Eagle’s nest has been established in Lenawee County for the first time in many years. Over the past five years sightings of Bald Eagles have been reported locally, however, this is the first documented case where a nest has been built in the county. The eggs have already hatched and it is estimated that the chicks are approximately three weeks old. The location of the nest has been withheld at the request of the property owner.
