Race for Hope at Gardens

The WACKER Relay for Life team is presenting the 6th Annual Race for Hope 5K Walk/Run, scheduled for Sunday July 12 at Hidden Lake Gardens.

All of the proceeds from the event, endorsed by the Governor's Council, are to benefit the fight against cancer.

The event begins at 7:30 a.m., with a community worship service and registration and packet pick up. The 5K run begins at 9 a.m., followed by the competitive race walk and fun walk. There will also be a short fun run for children 5 and under with all participants receiving a participation award prize.

All pre-registered participants will receive a T-shirt at a cost of $20 per person with a family plan (additional fee of $10 for additional family member). Pre-registered junior or high school students cost $10 each, which includes a T-shirt. The fee to register the day of the race is $25 or $15 for family member/youths. There will be at least four people in each age group except for ages 10 and under. Many donated prizes will be awarded during the day with entry forms drawn out of a registration bucket.
