Tecumseh Herald

To the Editor,

We are trying to trace descendants of James and Martha Hills, who lived in Tecumseh in 1907.We have two letters written by Martha Hills to her husband James when he was visting England at this time.

Perhaps great-grandchildren of the children of James and Martha might be interested in having these letters. They relate to the lives of farm labourers and the production of maple syrup. The Hills family were farmers in Kent, England, going back to 1600.
The children of James and Martha were: James, William, Leroy, Horace, Orson and Collier. Granddaughters were: Edna Lewis, age 10 in 1907, and Marie Farrington, age 3 in 1897.

If you could print this letter we would be very grateful,
