Why are railroad crossings in such bad shape?

To the Editor,

I would like to know why the railroad tracks in Tecumseh are in such bad shape? At each railroad crossing from Staib Road to Russell Road, and especially the main four corners, the tracks are terrible.

They need to be repaired.

I was just thinking the same a few days ago when crossing the tracks on Chicago Blvd.  I dread having to drive over them.  It's horrible.  I don't think it would take much to fix the tracks. I know the speed limits are 35 but when hear your car slam over the tracks even at THAT speed,  they need to be fixed!

I couldn't agree more! The tracks at Evans and Chicago Boulevard are horrible! Please, people, for the sake of our cars, fix these tracks!
