Richard “Dick” Thomas Csincsak

Richard “Dick” Thomas Csincsak, 74, of Tecumseh, Mich., died  peacefully at home on May 20,  2010, surrounded by his family, assisted by Hospice of Lenawee.  He was born on Jan. 29, 1936, in Lorain, Ohio, to Joseph and Rose Csincsak.  On Nov. 23, 1957, at Saint Michael Greek Byzantine Catholic Church, he married his beloved high school sweetheart, Anita Jane Leczo.  

He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh.  He served as president of the Fraternal Order of the Knights of Columbus, Lorain, Ohio.  He also served the Knights of Columbus at St. Elizabeth’s Parish.  His favorite hobbies were bowling, cooking, golfing, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.  Dick served in the United States Army from 1954-1957, stationed in Alaska in the Army Security Services as a Morse Code Operator.  His career included working at BF Goodrich, Avon Lake, Ohio; Plant Manager at the plastic manufacturing company, Paragon Design, Waynesboro, Va.; and then worked in Sales for Cook Composite and Polymers, where he retired in 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Anita; his son, Thomas (Rachel) Csincsak of Vermilion, Ohio; his two daughters, Lynette (Michael) Burton of North Canton, Ohio, and Nancy (Peter) Brooks of Dexter, Mich.; six grandchildren, Jacob Burton, Allison Burton, Luke Virgin, John Brooks, Samuel Csincsak and Anne Csincsak; three brothers, Joseph Csincsak of Lakewood, Ohio, William Csincsak of Avon Lake, Ohio, and Stephen Csincsak of Loraine, Ohio; one sister, Helen (John) Fakan of Vermilion, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Rose Marie Toth; and his grandson, Benjamin Csincsak.

At Dick’s request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass, followed by a luncheon, will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Tecumseh, Mich., with Father Dan Wheeler presiding. Entombment of cremains will follow the Mass at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh with full military honors conducted by the American Legion Underwood Orr Post #34 and Tecumseh VFW Post #4187.  Visitation will be held at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church on Saturday, June 5, 2010, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
