Businesses, organizations participate in Community Walk

To the Editor,

There are times that it is necessary to be reminded of what a nice, thoughtful community Tecumseh is to live in.  We were shown this sense of care during our recent second grade Community Walk event held on Friday, May 14.

The walk was originally scheduled for the previous day however; due to the rain we had to reschedule it.  Because some businesses were unable to accommodate our group on Friday, a number of businesses stepped up at the last minute to make our walk a success.  We would like to thank the following business who had either originally dedicated their time and those that scrambled to fit us in to their busy schedules:  Martin’s Home Center, The Quilt Patch, Tecumseh Police Department, Tecumseh Historical Museum, Tecumseh Community Center, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Tecumseh Frosty Boy, Companion Animal Clinic, The Boulevard Market, and Jerry’s Market.  Thank you for making 55 students and two teachers very happy.  Our field trip would not have been possible without your generosity.
