Supporters helped Hoops for Hunger event be successful

To the Editor,

The Tecumseh High School Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) would like to send a sincere thank you to all students, staff, and community members who made our Hoops for Hunger event a huge success!  The event, which took place at the Dec. 11 boys basketball game, raised $667 and hundreds of non-perishable food items for the Tecumseh Service Club and Food Pantry.  We would also like to send our thanks to the wonderful local businesses who donated food for our Spaghetti Dinner.  Thank you to Basil Boys for the delicious breadsticks, Busch’s for the bottled water, and Aramark (Tecumseh Public Schools Food Service) for the spaghetti sauce and noodles.  Without the support of these generous local businesses, this event would not have been possible!  We hope that our efforts will help many area residents during this holiday season.
