City Manager credits many people for CBC’s decision
To the Editor,
As everyone must know by now, Tecumseh Products and Consolidated Biscuit Company have successfully closed on the sale of the property located in Tecumseh. This is a milestone and historic event that will undoubtedly change the future of Tecumseh and Lenawee County and will greatly benefit our local economy.
Many people and organizations deserve special thanks and were instrumental on this project. They include Tecumseh Products, the Herrick Family and Consolidated Biscuit (Tecumseh Bakery, LLC). A special thanks goes out to the City of Tecumseh Economic Development Department, including Paula Holtz, Linda Hewlett, Denine Wells and Shelley Lim while she was part of the department. Their efforts to help keep this project afloat and viable deserve special recognition. While Tecumseh Products and Consolidated Biscuit made the tough decisions and took all the risks, Paula and her team helped to make sure that there were solutions available when others doubted the success of the project.
I am sure that I do not comment enough on how special our City employees are and how lucky I am to have a great team of employees. This is one more example of those special qualities that exist in each and every employee.
Thank you to all of our employees and especially to Paula and her team!
Kevin Welch
City Manager
