Hazel L. Dawdy
Hazel L. Dawdy, 90, of Tecumseh passed away on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Magnum Health Care in Adrian. She was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Detroit, the daughter of Leon and Ethel M. (Montieth) Auckland.
Hazel was employed as a beautician at the Clinton Beauty Shop for many years. She also worked at DST Industries in Clinton. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Tecumseh.
Hazel is survived by one son, Gary (Donna) Keehl of Onsted, Mich.; one daughter, Linda (Dan) Betzoldt of Tecumseh; one sister Wynona (Harold) Walenski of Adrian; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Clark; and son, James. Hazel was a loving mother and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
At her request, services will be private with interment later in Riverside Cemetery in Clinton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.handlerfuneralhomes.com.
