THS varsity football final 9/3/10 - A.A. Huron 22, Tecumseh 14
Tecumseh's second varsity football contest was similar to the first. The Indians took a 14-7 lead into the halftime break and didn't score again despite some very good opportunities. Ann Arbor Huron won the contest 22-14. After the contest some of Ann Arbor Huron's coaches had to be restrained after a Tecumseh assistant coach said something to set them off. Ann Arbor Huron's head coach, Cory Gildersleeve, said, "It will be handled within the SEC (Southeastern Conference). I'll get with my athletic director and we'll handle it. I've got no comment."

I called both principal Griff Mills and Supt. Mike McAran earlier today about that issue however neither returned my call. If they tell me what was done to the coach I will report it. Being a personnel issue, my guess is they will not give details.

Ann Arbor Huron is a bunch of whiners get over it its not the pro's and if its that bad what did they say? Huh?

This is not the direction the program needs to be headed in ! Coaches and players need to represent this town and the school in a way that doesnt reflect that we are SORE LOSERS !!!! I dont give a damn what was said to our coach he was wrong to have opened his mouth at all . Coach Mensing hired him and he also should be held accountable for the actions of HIS STAFF !

WHINERS??? EXCUSE ME??? How would you react f you were called a nig--r clown???? I would be angry beyond all belief! Ann Arbor Huron has EVERY RIGHT to be confrontational after that. All this does is make me EMBARRASSED that I ever attended THS. Finally, the public can see what kind of jerks we have interacting with my fellow students. Is this any way to behave in front of kids? Is that ANY EXAMPLE to set for them? he was a coach. he was supposed to be a good role model. He should be FIRED as far as I am concerned. he just cave the school a bad reputation and badly reflected the COMMUNITY as a WHOLE.

I was told this coach was/is suspended ? I will assume this will reach the MHSAA and then become a mtter of public record . Considering this was a public school event and held on public school grounds it should be a matter of public record !
Coach alleged to have used N-word
Tecumseh Superintendent Mike McAran said the Tecumseh assistant coach/teacher called Ann Arbor Huron’s head coach a "clown" and it was alleged that he also used the N-word. McAran said the incident would be handled internally. An apology by the Tecumseh coach was going to be delivered to Ann Arbor Huron today, according to McAran.

Well That " Clown " Show
Well That " Clown " Show just kicked are butts so what does that make us?? real class coaches. Time for Change before our numbers dip below 20 kids on Varsity! WHAT A JOKE our program has become!!!
Ridiculous
We get beat and the coaching staff is involved in a bickering match that turns ugly by the use of dispicable language. This all occurs while the kids are just feet away. The football coach and the AD need to make a wise decision here, with the support of the administration OR will everyone close their eyes and act like it didn't happen. Great community, but questionable character and integrity within the school district.
Not enough kids on the team
Is because Mensing never plays the other kids..."His stars" are the only ones that play...maybe this is why our kids are tired by the 3rd and 4th quarter....pay attention and you will see. Many kids did not return to the team because they never played and it is toooooo much work offseason to sit in the cold and rain and watch a team lose....Get smart Tecumseh! Also if you used the n word I would hope something would happen because it is an embarrassment to the school and town! I just wished things could be different in this political environment.....Also as a side our kids couldn't even get a schedule of classes...many were missing classes on their schedules and it is still not fixed....THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! Get your crap together school system!
