Popular car show returns to downtown Tecumseh for Third Thursday Light Up the Night event

Music, classic cars and extended shopping hours will be featured during the Third Thursday Light Up the Night event in downtown Tecumseh on Thursday, Sept. 16, from 6-8 p.m.

Music in the Park at Adams Park will feature Fat Mouth Charlie and the Bisquit Rollers during the grand finale event of the free summer concert series. Busch’s will have light refreshments for sale.

For Third Thursday Light Up the Night downtown shopping, merchants will offer extended hours for late night shopping convenience during this monthly event. Gift certificates will be awarded for shoppers who participate in the Classic Car Show punch card activity. Cards may be picked up at businesses or at the car show. Five punches on the cards by merchants will offer a chance to win gift certificates from various Tecumseh locations.

Tecumseh’s Classic Car Show series will come to an end on Sept. 16 with glitzy classic cars and trucks. Last month, 200 cars filled the United Bank and Trust parking lot at the Hickman Financial Center at 205 E. Chicago Blvd. Food will be available for purchase during the event.
