So, this weekend I’ll be hanging out at Art-a-licious. It’s really sort of a family affair. My mother-in-law, Mary Scott, is one of the many volunteer organizers of the event. My mom, painter and sculptor Maria Trapani, is one of the artist vendors and I am part of the Meet the Author event being held on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Adrian Public Library.
I’ll be signing copies of “A Cup of Comfort for a Better World.” The best part, though, is that it will be with other writers, including Brenda Meisels, author of a wonderful little novel called “Family at Booknook,” which takes place mostly in Adrian. I just read the book and fell in love with the characters. Joining us will be another Tecumseh children’s book author Charmaine Stangl. Her book “Charlie: The Dog Who Lived a Dream” is an uplifting tale about a dog who brings together an unlikely bunch. Carol and Deborah Marsh will have their book “The Birth of a King,” which I’m eager to learn more about. Also in the mix is Maurleen Gillin with her new cookbook based on her mother’s recipes.
Should be a fun day. We’ll be talking about writing and sharing our publishing experiences.
