Jeffrey Alan Reichenbaugh

Jeffrey Alan Reichenbaugh, age 46, of Marshall died Saturday morning, August 13, 2011 at his home in the loving care of his family following a year long battle with cancer.Jeff was born on March 25, 1965 in Tecumseh, Michigan to Larry Reichenbaugh and Sharon Kay (McMichael) Pickett. He was a graduate of Tecumseh High School. He had been a resident of the Marshall area since 2000, living the majority of his life in Tecumseh.On September 26, 1992, he married Brigette (Reed) Reichenbaugh in Ann Arbor, Michigan.Jeff had a great love for his family, friends, nature, landscaping and spending time outdoors. He loved taking trips up north to the hunting cabin while deer hunting with “the boys.” He also enjoyed taking long walks on the beach with his family. He loved good food and enjoyed finding local eateries to match his high standards. Jeff was a handyman and could fix just about anything. When a lawn mower was broken or other things needed to be fixed in the neighborhood, Jeff was the go to guy. He was always eager to help whenever he could and enjoyed many friends. Jeff was a fun-loving and caring person.He was a loving husband and father. He loved spending time with his children attending their many sporting activities. Jeff was very supportive of his family and had been active in fund raising for the new Marshall Soccer fields.He is survived by his wife, Brigette Reichenbaugh; children, Alexander and Sydney Reichenbaugh; father and step-mother, Larry (Vicki) Reichenbaugh of Tecumseh; mother and step-father, Sharon (Bill) Pickett of Coldwater; sister, Julie (Michael) Summa of Armonk, NY; and a niece and nephew, Stephanie and Joseph Summa.A memorial service to celebrate the gift of his life was held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 723 Old US 27 North, Marshall, Michigan 49068.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jeffrey A. Reichenbaugh Memorial Fund, for an educational trust fund to be established for his children.
