Penelope U. Becker (Niblack)

Penelope U. Becker (Niblack), 70, formerly of Lenoir City, Tenn. and Britton, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011. She was born Oct. 24, 1940, in Tecumseh to William S. Niblack Sr. and Marjorie A. (Miner). She was a 1958 graduate of Britton-Macon High School and received a bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University. Penny was a Laboratory Technician at East Tennessee Children's Hospital for 27 years, retiring five years ago.Surviving are her son, Kit Becker of Washington D.C.; daughter, Lorene (Jeff) Becker-Russell of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; grandson, Peyton Becker; sister, Marcella (Raymond) Lidster of Britton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Patricia Beach; and brother, Wm. Stewart Niblack Jr.Services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh with the Rev. Richard Bruce officiating.
