Carol L. Bolster

Carol L. Bolster, 88, of Tecumseh, passed away Oct. 20, 2011, at home with family. She was born Oct. 28, 1922, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Leon and Carmen (Pio) Rickets. On Oct. 11, 1945, she married Burton Bolster in Long Beach, Calif. Carol was a member of the Britton Senior Center. She loved gardening, canning, and crafting. Carol dearly loved her family and friends. Over the years, Carol worked at Ford Motor Company, A & P Grocery Store and Martin's Home Center.Carol is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton on Sept. 25, 2000 and two sisters, Sally Picolo and Jenoise Parsels. Visitation was held Sunday Oct. 23, 2011, at J, Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Funeral services also took place on Sunday beginning at 7 p.m. with the Rev. John Kottke officiating.Burial was held Monday Oct. 24, 2011, at Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Britton Senior Center or Hospice of Lenawee.Condolences may be made to the family at www.pursefuneralhome.com.
