Daniel E. Broughton

Daniel E. Broughton, age 27, of Tecumseh, formerly of Ypsilanti, passed away suddenly July 8, 2012 of unknown causes. He was born August 30, 1984 in Ann Arbor, Mich., the son of Larry Broughton of Wixom, and Dorothy (Vasher) Broughton of Tecumseh.Daniel attended Willow Run Schools in Ypsilanti, where he earned his G.E.D.He competed in Mr. Michigan All Natural Bodybuilding Contest, placing 2nd in the under-18 age group.Daniel had a passion for auto mechanics and was a certified brake specialist. He loved to ride motorcycles, play guitar, and sing. He was a wonderful father who loved his sons more than anything. Daniel had a strong faith in God and brought joy to many people through his sense of humor and his love and compassion towards others. Daniel is survived by his two sons, Zechariah Daniel Broughton and Noah Eugene Broughton; his girlfriend, whom he planned to share his life with, Audrey Korycinski; mother, Dorothy Broughton; father; Larry Broughton, siblings, Larry (Heather) Broughton, Elizabeth Broughton, Paul Broughton, Joel Broughton, Regina (Bob) Stover, April (Donnie) Blakley, Tabatha Johnson, and Kristie (Rodney) Elliott; grandmother, Julia Vasher; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by, brother, David Broughton; grandparents, Eugene Broughton, Pauline Hubbard, and Daniel Vasher.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday July 13, 2012 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Rev. Mike Dennis officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti, Mich.Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service on Friday at J.
