HILDA M. HEEMAN
Hilda M. Heeman, age 90, of Tecumseh, passed away February 29, 2012.Hilda was born April 5, 1921 in Britton, Mich., the daughter of Henry and Anna (Enselman) Meyers.On June 22, 1940 she married George W. Heeman and he preceded her in death April 2, 2010.Throughout the years Hilda worked at the D & C Store, Colgrove's Gift Shop and retired from George's Market.Hilda and George retired to Florida in 1990 and resided there until 2008, returning to Tecumseh.Hilda was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tecumseh.Her joys in life were bowling, golfing and spending time with her grandchildren.Hilda is survived by a son, George (Geri) Heeman of Tecumseh; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.In addition to her husband, George, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Brenda Starkweather; six sisters and three brothers.A memorial service was held 1 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2012 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Pastor Philip Krieger officiating. Visitation was from 11 a.m. until the time of service.In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hilda my be made to Hospice of Lenawee.
