Shopper finds kindness in Tecumseh after losing purse

To the Editor,

After a shopping trip to Tecumseh I discovered that my purse was missing. After a frantic call to J-Bar Hobbies, I was informed that my purse was there, but it was closing time. When I explained where I was (some 30 minutes south of Tecumseh), I was assured that they would wait for my return. And, wait they did.

On my return, I was handed my purse with all its contents, brushed aside when I offered a monetary reward, and sent on my way with a smile and these words, “Just pay it forward.”
In my haste, I failed to get the name of my hero at J-Bar. I would like to publicly thank him for his kindness. Tecumseh, you should be proud of this citizen of your city. Please shop at J-Bar Hobbies; I know that my husband, grandson and I will be back to shop another day.
